Insights from the White House Roundtable on Water Security and Climate Resilience

WestWater Research CEO Clay Landry had the honor of attending the White House Water Security and Climate Resilience Innovation Roundtable last week with our partners from Aetos Capital. The event brought together experts and industry leaders to tackle the pressing challenges of water security amid climate change.

The discussion focused on promoting industrial water reuse initiatives, advocating for federal incentives and recognition for companies leading in water recycling. Embracing technological innovation is essential, and modern infrastructure financing must adapt to include technology as integral to infrastructure investments.

Transitioning toward a circular water economy by integrating innovation, incentives, regulatory reform, and workforce development can transform water management practices. Investing in a skilled workforce and adopting remote technologies will enhance resilience, especially for smaller utilities.

Public and private collaboration is crucial as we address climate-related water risks. Advancements in data and risk assessment tools will enable better planning and resource allocation.

We are grateful for the opportunity to engage in these discussions and look forward to continuing the dialogue at future events.

Together, we can forge a path toward a more secure and sustainable water future.
